1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Imposter: Party Game (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. About the App
Imposter: Party Game is a party game designed for local play with friends, family, or groups. Core gameplay does not require an account or online multiplayer services.
The optional Custom Category with AI feature uses OpenAI to generate custom category content from the topic, optional description, and selected language you provide. This feature requires an internet connection.
3. Privacy and Data
The App does not require accounts, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking SDKs.
The iOS app uses Firebase for analytics to understand aggregate app usage and reliability. We do not use Firebase Analytics to collect user-related data, and we do not collect Apple's Identifier for Vendor (IDFV).
Standard gameplay and settings occur locally on your device and are not sent to us.
When you use Custom Category with AI, your custom category request is sent to our backend and then to OpenAI so the App can generate category content. We do not store custom category inputs or generated category results on our servers.
4. AI-Generated Content
AI-generated categories, words, hints, and related content may be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, or unsuitable for every group. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before using it during gameplay.
Do not enter sensitive or personal information into Custom Category with AI prompts.
5. License to Use the App
The App is licensed, not sold, to you. Your use of the App may also be subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a separate custom license agreement is provided.
You may use the App for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.
- You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the App.
- You may not use the App for unlawful purposes.
- You may not attempt to extract source code or assets from the App.
- You may not resell or redistribute the App without permission.
6. User Conduct
Because Imposter: Party Game is a social party game, players are responsible for how they interact with one another during gameplay.
You agree not to use the App in a way that encourages harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, discrimination, or unsafe behavior.
We are not responsible for player behavior during local gameplay.
7. Age and Supervision
The App is intended for general entertainment. Children should use the App only with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian where required by law.
8. Purchases and Payments
If the App includes paid downloads, in-app purchases, or subscriptions, all payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Refunds and billing issues are handled according to Apple’s App Store policies.
If the App does not include purchases, this section does not apply.
9. No Warranty
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the App will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device or iOS version.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App, if any.
11. Updates and Changes
We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
